Personality: Too often the butt of her brothers' pranks, Lily quickly developed a fierce defensive and independent streak. She is stubborn to a fault, and has heard her entire life how she is "so like your mother at that age." She's not afraid to stand up for herself, and her quick temper never fails to land her in trouble. Despite this, though, she's really quite good-hearted—her family means everything to her and she is fiercely loyal to them. She can't stand to have anyone mad at anyone, and will often act as a mediator (whether people want her to or not). She's nice to absolutely everyone regardless of their house or reputation until they give her a reason not to be. Her honesty has always been the bane of her more mischievous cousins and friends; she's not interested in getting anyone into trouble (not usually, anyway), but she hates to lie and she is phenomenally bad at it. She's game for a laugh, though, and always finds the pranks amusing as long as they're not at the expense of others. Her sense of humor is very quick and sarcastic; she has the tendency to speak too much and often without thinking. Like many teenagers, she thinks she's more mature and knowledgeable than she actually is; sometimes she resent being a "baby" of the family, but she's still quite naive and innocent.

Lily isn't particularly interested in school, having always sort of considered herself destined for bigger and better things. She's very intelligent and earns good marks, though, because that's just what you do in order to move on to the more interesting bits of life, isn't it? She does love Quidditch and is quite good at it; it's the perfect outlet for a lot of the energy that would otherwise spark her temper and get her into trouble. She shares her granddad's fascination with Muggles, and his collection of books paired with her Aunt Hermione's love of reading sparked an obsession with Muggle literature from an early age. She also loves to write and dreams of being a journalist someday, though she lacks confidence in her abilities.

Lily has always found the fame of her parents and indeed most of her family oddly fascinating and a bit suffocating. Sometimes she'd do anything for total anonymity, and sometimes she wouldn't trade her life for anything in the world. She's a typical teenager in many respects, basically: figuring out who she is and trying to sort that out with everyone around her who's doing the same thing.

Likes: Quidditch, her family (especially her cousin Hugo, who's been her best friend forever), reading, writing, Muggle culture and literature especially
Dislikes: most of her schoolwork and especially Potions, close-minded people, people who even think about considering insulting her family, lying

History: Lily Potter is the third and last child of Harry and Ginny Potter. Lily's childhood was a relatively normal one; she loved growing up in a big family, and most of her fondest memories are from summers and holidays at the Burrow. Growing up, Lily liked nothing more than to hear stories about her family (especially mum and dad) and how they fought in the war, though she never fully comprehended just how famous they are until she was much older. She still idolizes her parents to this day; though she's at an age when teenagers typically rebel against their parents, Lily's never given them that sort of trouble.

Being the youngest and the only girl, Lily was often excluded from her brothers' games, which led to her becoming a bit of a tomboy. She much preferred going outside and playing in the mud with her brothers to playing with her dolls. Her father had her riding a broomstick as early as Ginny would allow it, and she inherited a natural talent for Quidditch from both of her parents.

Lily was ecstatic to start at Hogwarts, and even more excited to be sorted into Gryffindor just like her parents. She's never been particularly interested in school work, but being with her cousins and the thought that she might be on the Quidditch team in a few years' time was enough for Lily. In her third year she did earn a place on the team as Chaser. She gets by well enough in school; she's bright but not particularly motivated, and looks forward to graduation. As she's only fifteen she's still very unsure what her plans after Hogwarts are, but she hopes to find a career in journalism, much like her Mum eventually did.
